Exceptional customer service
Am so appreciative of the quality of time and expertise that went into the installation. Beginning with my initial call that was answered on a Saturday night followed by a Sunday consultation and Wednesday installation, Everyone with Adon provided exceptional customer service. The owner is fully involved and truly wants to do a great job for the customer. Am also pleased to support a local business vs a behemoth company where only sales matter. Many thanks to everyone at Adon for their kindness, assistance, professionalism and quality of service.

I performed a single system cooling maintenance. I checked amps, capacitor, filter, electrical, drains, safeties, and cleanliness. The system is performing mostly inside of manufacture specifications. The system could use a primary float switch because of poor drain design. For the current float switch to become tripped, there would need to be 2 clogs. This would result in cost to clear 2 clogs. The switch would allow us to detect a clog before it progresses to a big issue. The supply plenum in the attic is leaking cool air. This reduces efficiency and will cause moisture production. The compressor is currently pulling over its rated per the data tag on the outdoor unit. It is rated to pull under 134amps. It is currently pulling 137.9amps. This will cause damage over time to the compressor. To achieve the full life of the compressor, it is advised to install a hard start kit to reduce the amps back into range.

We returned to our clients home for the unit not cooling properly. We immediately proceeded outside and found the unit to be in a low pressure lockout. Our client had not yet placed the air filter and we discussed how the unit needs an air filter to add some restriction and help the unit preform its proper function. That without the filter the air moves across the coil too quickly and trips the outdoor safety. We reset the outdoor unit and it ran properly for 20+ mins. It then shutoff. I assumed it was the float switch which I had checked but the other technician was outside and corrected me saying it had shutoff prior to me checking the water switch. We then further proceeded to test the outdoor unit. We found that the outdoor defrost control board was getting all the proper voltage to the board and into the safeties but it was not sending signal to the contactor. I immediately showed this to our client and we discussed how this was an intermediate issue and we were lucky to catch i

We arrived here for the outdoor unit not cooling. Client had the thermostat off upon arrival, we turned the thermostat on. We proceeded outside the out door unit came on immediately. The start amps were very high and had abnormal readings for Freon. After about five minutes of running the unit shut off. We went into the attic and found the water safety switched was tripped. We also found a dirty air filter causing extreme suffocation to the unit. We showed our findings to our client and he elected to install a blowout valve and compressor saver to his system today. Once installed we showed him the work that was preformed and showed him that the components were in manufacture specifications.our client did not have a filter to install, he will purchase an air filter to install immediately and we did leave the unit cooling without an air filter.

Arrived at our clients home for a single system cooling maintenance inspection. We began outside with the condenser unit. We tested and inspected all the electrical components and ensured everything passed today’s inspection. We rinsed the outdoor unit to remove dust and grass debris from the coil today. Once completed we proceeded inside. We found the attic unit to be without a water safety switch. The drain pan had evidence of residue water from the past but no existing rust. We discussed a water safety will shut off the unit if a clog were to occur in the primary drain line. Teresa requested an estimate for a surge protector and also a water safety switch. The unit is cooling properly on departure.

Started inspection at the indoor air handler and replaced filter. I noticed a decent amount of dust on the blower wheel which will cause drag shortening the lifespan of the motor. I recommend Pulling out and cleaning the blower wheel to prolong system of life. Blower motor amps were within range. Measure temperature split of 20°. On the outdoor unit, I rinsed the condenser coils as they were very dirty. Contactor was testing high at 19.3 ohms. Capacitor was testing within range. Compressor start and run amps were within range. Fan ramps were written range. System in good working order upon departure.
