Our A/C broke when the weather started to get hot. We called Adon Complete, and Charles came. He was experienced and professional. 1 system AC maintenance. Replaced filter provided by customer. Checked operation of drain line and condensate pump. Treated it with drain solution. Checked amp draw on blower motor. Measured temperature drop across system, 71° return and 52° supply. Went outside to condenser. Checked amp draw on compressor and fan motor. Measured capacitor and contactor, both are within acceptable range. System has hard start kit installed and it is still good. Cleaned condenser coil using water. System is cooling at this time.
Arrive for free second opinion. Customer had original company out and they stated condenser coil needed to be replaced because of a leak. Upon inspection found there was in fact a leak on the condenser coil. Office is looking into availability of part. We will contact customer in the morning with more information.
Customer was wanting air vent into garage addition. Unable to access duct work to tap into existing system. Only option is a mini split. Office is putting together an estimate to install mini split. Will send over estimate attached to invoice.
2 system AC maintenance. Replaced filter provided by customer. Checked amp draw on blower motors. Checked operation of drain lines and treated them with drain solution. Drain pan for upstairs system is rusted and should be replaced as soon as possible. Upstairs system does not have safety float switch, recommend adding one to prevent water from overflowing and causing ceiling damage. Measured temperature drop across system, getting 19-20° for both units. Measured amp draw on compressors and condenser fan motors. Capacitor for upstairs system is very low and needs to be replaced. Contactors and capacitor for downstairs system are within acceptable tolerance. Cleaned condenser coil for downstairs with water. Performed chemical coil cleaning on upstairs system and installed capacitor. Cleared drain line for upstairs system.
We performed a 5 system cooling maintenance on gas systems. We checked amps, capacitors, filters, electrical, drains, and cleanliness. During our thorough evaluation, we discovered that 4 of the 5 outdoor units were full of cottonwood. We got approval to provided chemical cleanings during the visit. The dining room 1 system has a 35/5 capacitor that is out of range and will fail likely before the end of the summer. The main system has a weak 45/5 capacitor, also. We noticed the gym unit was having an issue. The issue was a loose wire at the control board. The systems are cooling upon departure. We emailed the other options and the invoice for the cleanings
Performed 2 system cooling maintenance and dryer vent cleaning. I checked amps, capacitors, filters, electrical, drains, and cleanliness. The systems are cooling well. I offered water safety switches and surge protection again during the visit and emailed it Mr. Carter. Systems are cooling upon departure.
I found capacitor was dead not allowing the compressor to start. We replaced and ensured the system began to cool again. With the customer doing a compressor replacement yesterday, we replaced the capacitor complimentary.
Arrived on site, found capacitor bloated and rusted. Measured capacitance and found none. This confirms capacitor is entirely failed and must be replaced for unit for function. Outdoor high voltage whip has a large hole in it and wire jackets are beginning to take damage from the sun. Outdoor coils are completely blanketed. This restricts airflow and produces a lot of stress on the refrigerant cycle. Homeowner approved capacitor replacement and outdoor chemical cleaning. Performed capacitor installation and condenser chemical cleaning. Homeowner stated inspector found that there was no sediment trap on the gas line. Provided estimates for all of the above issues. Measured 20 degree split from supply to return. System running upon departure.
Completed service call. Customer indicated there was a power outage and unit stopped working last night. Found compressor was tripping breaker. Washed outside coils and restarted unit. Compressor intermittently tripping breaker. Found outside coils very dirty. Washed as courtesy. Offered and accepted membership. Emailed quote to have compressor replaced under warranty. Left unit running and cooling for now.
